How to get the best out of this blog...

All blogs post are more recent first, if you want to read about Ellie's Journey I'd suggest starting from the first post back in September 2011 (October Posts) and read on Chronologically from there. It will make more sense and you'll get to meet the little girl who gave my life purpose.
Thank You for reading - every new reader shows that she has met another person and in her short life made such an impact. x

Mothers Day

Odd that Mothers Day should fall a whole month after Ellie has passed away. It was reasonably easy to ignore because it isn't Mothers Day in Australia until some time in May. I guess I was trying to ignore it to be honest, like it didn't really happen.
For those of you wondering, we are ok. Getting by. We have spent the last week in Sydney and have walked our feet off. The past few weeks have been full of mixed emotions and many tears. We have found Ellie in everyday, from a song in the Market and a beautiful sunset to a single dayglow star at a friends house and a heart shaped stone on the beach.
I don't know what else to say at the moment. That empty hollow feeling is still there, following us around like a lost puppy dog.
Tick tock, tick tock. Apparently time helps.

  1. Thinking about you both, and Little Miss Ellie, every day too...Laura - you particularly were in my thoughts on Mothering Sunday.

Do what you do best - love each other and keep Ellie's glow around you at all times.

    See you both soon

  3. I think of you both often and I do hope time will help. Your precious Ellie is obviously with you and showing you little reminders along the way. I hope eventually they will bring comfort rather than sadness.

I never met Ellie in "real" life and I miss her, so I can only imagine what it must be like for ou.

Take care and I hope you are getting some well deserved R&R whilst you are away too. xxx

  5. You were very much in my thoughts on Mother's Day, along with all the other Angel Mummy's I know. Days like that are always tough but I always feel especially close to Benjamin at those times. Ellie will always be with you and those little signs she's sending are so comforting and mean so much. You will always be a wonderful Mummy xxx
